How NumberGlyph works (60 seconds)

Tiles + fingerprint → quick “aha”.

1) Guess in 6

You’re hunting a secret number. Each guess gives tile feedback (like Wordle).

🟩 right digit + place 🟨 right digit, wrong place ⬛ not in the number

2) Two free clues

You always get Σ (sum of digits) and Shape (how digits go up/down).

Shape example (4 digits) 6 0 8 1 6>0, 0<8, 8>1 → ><>

3) Tap reveals (optional)

Want a nudge? Tap cards to reveal extra fingerprint clues. They don’t change the answer.

O/E = odd/even slots P = prime digits U = unique count Σ² = sum of squares

One worked example (super quick)

Imagine the secret is 6081. You’d see:

Fingerprint: Σ = 15 Shape = ><>

Now guess 6012:

6 0 1 2 → 🟩🟩🟨⬛
  • 6 correct spot
  • 0 correct spot
  • 1 exists somewhere else
  • 2 not in the number

Tip: Shape clicks fast — then it’s addictive.

Tiles + Shape legend

  • 🟩 correct digit, correct position
  • 🟨 digit exists, wrong position
  • digit not present
  • Shape: > down, < up, = same

Quick tutorial

1) Goal

Guess the secret number in 6 guesses. Each guess gives you tiles + a compact fingerprint.

🟩 right digit + place 🟨 right digit, wrong place ⬛ not in the number

2) Two clues you always get

Σ = sum of digits Shape = compares each digit to the next

Shape mapping: > means “down”, < means “up”, = means “same”.

Example (4 digits): 6 0 8 1 6>0, 0<8, 8>1 → ><>

3) Optional cards (tap to reveal)

These start hidden. Tap a card to reveal it.

O/E = odd/even by slot (e.g. EEEO) P = how many prime digits (2,3,5,7)
U = unique digits count Σ² = sum of squares (e.g. 6²+0²+8²+1² = 101)

Reveals just give you more info. They don’t change the answer.

4) One quick example

Imagine the secret is 6081.

Fingerprint shows: Σ = 15 Shape = ><>

Now guess 6012:

Guess: 6 0 1 2 Tiles: 🟩🟩🟨⬛

Keep guessing and use the fingerprint to narrow it down.

5) Ready?

Start with a guess that gives you lots of information. If you want, tap O/E or Σ² early for faster narrowing.
